German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has started his five-day visit to Russia.
After opening an economic forum in Yekaterinburg he will speak on German-Russian relations at the city's university. In the evening he will be meeting his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov. Steinmeier is to travel on to Moscow on Wednesday where he is scheduled to meet with new Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
