Cunek has, however, blackened out the names in the document not to cause harm to anybody, he said. Andelova gave testimony on Monday in a suit in which some high-ranking judiciary representatives complained against shadow justice minister Marie Benesova for the senior opposition Social Democrats (CSSD). Benesova described the people in connection with the Cunek case as "a backstage judiciary mafia" that tried to influence criminal cases. Cunek resigned as deputy PM and local development minister last November when the case of his suspected bribery was reopened.
The case was definitively halted a fortnight later and Cunek returned to the government in April.
