The US Democratic Party has reached a compromise over disputed delegations from Florida and Michigan.
A rules committee meeting in Washington decided to allow all the delegates to attend the party's national convention in August, but they will only be given half a vote each. The decision rejects presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton's call for a full seating. Officially, Clinton had won both states in January, but both results were initially discounted over a scheduling dispute between the states and the national party. Turkish PM attacks proposed ban ... Obama nor Clinton had campaigned in the contests, and in Michigan, Obama's name was not even on the ballot. The Washington meeting also agreed that the results of the two primaries would stand. This gives Clinton 69 delegates in Michigan, compared to Obama's 59. And in Florida, she gains 105 delegates compared to Obama's 67.
