World number two Ana Ivanovic stormed into the French Open quarter-finals with a 6-0 6-0 thrashing of unseeded Czech Petra Cetkovska.

Ivanovic, the 2007 runner-up, is yet to drop a set in this year's tournament and has conceded just 15 games.

And the 20-year-old Serb was again in sensational form as she swept aside world number 77 Cetkovska.

Next up for Ivanovic is either Katarina Srebotnik or Patty Schnyder with a place in the semi-finals at stake.

She took the opening set off Cetkovska in 24 minutes and showed no drop in concentration in the second.

Ivanovic, this year's Australian Open runner-up, easily saved two break points in the fifth game of the second set before completing the win in 54 minutes when Cetkovska netted a backhand.

It was the second love-love result of the women's tournament.

"I was much harder than it actually looked," she said. "I played almost without a mistake.

"She had a lot of chances but I stepped up and I was really playing my game and making so few unforced errors. I feel very confident going onto the next round."

Schnyder and Srebotnik are third on Court Suzanne Lenglen, while third seed Jelena Jankovic is playing Agnieszka Radwanska on Phillipe Chatrier.

The winner will play Carla Suarez Navarro after the 19-year-old qualifier beat Flavia Pennetta 6-3 6-2.

Pennetta failed to kick on from her shock win against Venus Williams in round three, converting only one of nine break-point chances as Grand Slam debutant Suarez, who stunned Amelie Mauresmo in the second round, reached the last eight.
