NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander has scooped up a little dirt, a first step towards sampling the Martian soil for ice and the potential for life.

Huge ice deposits 'seen' on Mars ... Space Station and unload a scientific lab that is as big as a school bus. The space shuttle is delivering the $1 billion lab on behalf of Japan. The ISS crew will install the lab on Tuesday. The shuttle is also delivering a new pump for the space station's malfunctioning toilet.
