"fast" will be observed within the chain hunger strike, by Olga Zubova, deputy for the junior governing Green Party (SZ), Anna Geislerova, famous Czech actress, Petr Uhl, former dissident and journalist, Alena Gajduskova, senator for the senior opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) and sociologist Jan Keller.
Tamas and Bednar told journalists today that none of the conditions they set for the end of the hunger strike they launched on May 13 had been met.
They demanded that the government politicians send a clear signal of the ned of the negotiations with the USA on the base, call a referendum on the issue and start a "real open democratic discussion" on the radar base.
Both activists stressed that the reason why they decided to end their protest was that they managed to attract the attention of the public and certain politicians at home and abroad.
Apart fromTamas and Bednar, Uhl also attended today's press conference.
