02.06.2008 - Crown stronger to both euro, dollar
The crown edged 14 hellers stronger to the euro against morning levels and 11 hellers to the dollar.
Data on wage growth released by the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) today are a positive factor for the crown, said Tomas Vlk from company Patria Finance.
The average gross monthly wage rose by 10.4 percent year-on-year to Kc22,531 in the first quarter.
The high figure has increased the risk the Czech central bank CNB will want to use higher rates to act against a rise in inflationary expectations, Vlk said.
The dollar is trading slightly weaker to the euro at $1.5541 compared with $1.5535 in the morning.
