Interior Minister Wolfgang Schäuble said he saw no need for tighter laws, after holding talks with a number of telecommunications industry leaders. Schäuble added that another meeting with industry leaders would take place in one month to review the situation. Several parliamentarians have called for changes to Germany's laws, following revelations that Telekom tracked the phone calls of senior managers and journalists in an attempt to root out leaks to the media. Authorities have launched an investigation into the possible breach of pricacy laws.
