Three men accused of plotting to detonate liquid explosives on board trans-Atlantic passenger jets have admitted in a London court that they did plan to set off bombs.
However, they maintain that they are innocent of conspiracy to murder, a charge on which they are still being tried. They, along with two other defendants, have also admitted to ''conspiring to cause public nuisance'' by publishing alleged martyrdom videos. Prosecutors accuse the five and three other co-defendants of planning to bomb passenger jets flying from the UK to a number of North American cities in 2006.
