Chinese authorities have tightened security following an attack in the country's northwestern Xinjiang province, which killed 16 police officers and injured 16 more.
China blames Muslim separatists for the attack in the city of Kashgar, which is home to many ethnic Uigher Muslims. State media report that two separatist militants threw homemade explosive at a group of 70 police officers jogging near their barracks.
