05.08.2008 - Czech PM secretly meets ex-CSSD head over defectors -Tyden
The meeting was organised by influential lobbyists Marek Dalik and Miroslav Slouf who also attended it, the news server writes.
Dalik was Topolanek's chief adviser, while Slouf was Zeman's chief adviser when Zeman was prime minister.
Taking place on June 27, it was only one of a series of meetings that was to gain badly needed support for Topolanek's government coalition in parliament at a time when six MPs for the junior ruling Greens were considering leaving the coalition, the server writes.
The meeting was to remain secret, but Topolanek disclosed its contents when attending a sports event, boasting that he won two more Social Democrat defectors, Tyden.cz says.

Former Czech PM Zeman seeking comeback - press ... the mandates in the 200-seat lower house and the cabinet was formed in early 2007 also thanks to two MPs who left the CSSD and who have supported it in key votes.
Earlier this year, further two MPs left the CSSD.
Zeman clashed with present CSSD leader Jiri Paroubek after the 2006 elections and he left the party in protest against Paroubek's policy last year.
According to the server, the Civic Democrats might help part of the CSSD push through Zeman as president in the election in 2013.
Current Czech president, ODS honorary chairman Vaclav Klaus, is serving his second term in office and cannot be elected for the third time under Czech law.
