Pakistani officials say President Pervez Musharraf will attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics as planned, after he cancelled a flight to China early on Wednesday.
A foreign ministry statement said Musharraf would now leave for Beijing on Thursday, without giving reasons for the earlier cancellation. The announcement comes as leaders of the coalition government have been discussing his possible impeachment.
