The Spanish airline that operated a passenger jet that crashed on Wednesday, killing 153 people, says that the plane had no known mechanical problems before it attempted to take off. A Spanair spokesman told reporters in Madrid that the pilots had aborted a previous take-off after a gauge indicated that overheated air was entering the jet.
